Sport Relief Campaign a Total of £1,125.85 Raised

On Friday 23rd at Spalding Academy staff and students held events to raise money for the national Sport Relief campaign.

Students and staff were invited to pay £1 to wear non-uniform for the day and students, HOH's and PE staff held activities at lunchtime including a hula hoop competition to see who could hula the longest, a guess the birthday of the bear, guess the weight of the cake, who could ‘hang’ the longest, a dance-a-thon, a basketball shootout, five-a-side football games and a cake stall.

Throughout the week the PE department ran a competition in the fitness suite to see which House could walk, row or run the furthest.

A final total of £1,125.85 was raised and will go towards the valuable project both in this country and abroad that Sports Relief  support.

Thank you to everyone who took part.

Miss Danielle Fuller (Head of Johnson House).
