Congratulations to our Bedrock Star for their hard work and dedication

Charlie Lowe with Mr Hind, Deputy Executive Headteacher (Teaching & Learning)

Congratulations to Charlie Lowe who is a ‘Bedrock Star’ and one of only 50 students out of 300,000 students in the whole of the UK to be a winner in the Bedrock Learning Prize Draw. Every student who demonstrated hard work and dedication by achieving 120+ points last term was entered into the draw to win a £10 Amazon Voucher.

One of the ways in which we help our Year 7 students improve vocabulary and academic achievements is using ‘Bedrock Vocabulary’. This is an online tool, which is used in the classroom and can also be used at home so parents can work with their children. It is designed to help students learn the tricky sort of language they might come across in text books, lessons or exams so will improve their academic achievements across all subjects.

Our students and parents have really embraced this learning platform as our school is now in the top 15% of schools in the UK for the usage of the Bedrock Learning.
