Free workshop for parents/carers to protect their family online

We have a fantastic relationship with the Stay Safe Partnership at Lincolnshire Country Council to promote online safety for our young people.

They have made us aware of an online safety event they are running next month, which is free and specifically focussed on parents/carers of secondary school students. It will run via Microsoft TEAMS and will take place on Wednesday 19th June 2024 from 6.00pm to 7.30pm.

We highly recommend parents/carers register to attend this event as it will offer valuable information regarding the latest apps, online platforms and social media trends which are available to our young people as well as parental controls.

The Stay Safe Partnership run a similar event last year with all of the schools in our Trust that was attended and well received by hundreds of parents/carers. In this workshop, they will keep parents/carers up to date with new developments and content as technology has changed a lot in just the last year.

No matter what parents/carers think they already know, our young people are often ahead of trends so it is vital they take an interest ensuring their family and safe online. Everyone should know how to protect themselves online and it doesn’t matter whether your child is 11 or 18 years of age, or even if you are an adult.
