Students learn about the life, dedication and service of the Queen
To mark the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, this week our students had a special programme of activities to reflect on her life, dedication and service to the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth.
The sessions were specially prepared to focus on the themes of legacy, resilience, courage, transition and British Values (Democracy, tolerance, mutual respect and individual liberty).
Students could then reflect on her legacy not only as a record breaker but as a strong female leader and a working mother that was able to create bridges between nations. They also learnt how she demonstrated resilience and gave the nation courage through world events such as World War 2, the Cold War and more recently, the pandemic.
We are very incredibly proud of how our students have shown great respect through this week from the one-minute silence on Monday to commenting on things that they never knew about the Queen.
