One of the highlights of the academic year is the Spalding Academy Sports Day which took place on Wednesday 25th June 2025 and we were treated to sunshine and dry weather for students to compete.
This year’s event was held at the sports facilities in Spalding Academy and we hope that the event can return to the Princess Royal Sports Arena in Boston next year.
Even though we didn’t have the grandstand packed full of students cheering on every event, there was still excellent atmosphere between the year groups and Houses as everyone supported each other to do their best. Everyone put in their best performances and students were good spirited with tremendous enthusiasm.
Over 300 students competed in a range of events such as the 100m, 200m, 3/400m, 800m, 1,500m, Javelin, Shot Put, Discus, High Jump and Long Jump. The highlight of the day was the 4 x 100m relay with teams for Years 7 to 10.
