Spalding Academy Band rock the Bourne Academy Winter Concert
The Spalding Academy Band were on tour this week when they have a guest spot at the sell-out Bourne Academy Winter Concert on Wednesday evening.
This two-hour music and drama extravaganza featured 23 acts and the Spalding Band performed ‘Step Into Christmas’ by Elton John and ‘Santas Got a Mean Machine’ by JD McPherson to an appreciative audience and got a rapturous applause after their set.
The band consists of Amy Beeston, Lula Guarnaccia, Francisco Paduraru-Daloga, Dean Riches and Amelia Sowinska. Not only did they sound amazing, but they brightened up the stage dressed in festive wear including a impressive Christmas tree outfit.
It was great to see the band be welcomed by the students and staff at Bourne Academy and made to feel right at home on the stage. Thank you to Mr Barrett, Head of Music for his support with the band at this festive event.
