BBC Bitesize Careers Roadshow inspires students for their future

One of the amazing careers and educational resources available for students is BBC Bitesize that is packed with videos, podcasts, guides, activities plus an A-Z of jobs to get students inspired for their future.

Earlier this academic year, we were pleased to welcome the BBC Bitesize Careers Roadshow to Spalding Academy, where the whole of Years 8 to 11 had a live presentation to learn about local business and careers.

The entertaining roadshow was hosted BBC radio/television presenter James Threlfall, who is also well-known for covering football and F1. With a panel of professionals from various local businesses and organisations, they were interviewed to give an inspiring insight into the routes and opportunities within industries that students may not have considered.

This was a great opportunity for our students to receive helpful and interesting career information beyond the curriculum. As part of this interactive roadshow, students were able to participate and ask as the panel members probing questions to dig deeper into their career journeys!

It was an inspiring and informative event, giving our students plenty to think about as they consider their future plans. Thank you to BBC Bitesize and the panellists for giving up their valuable time to share their career pathways and experiences!
