Overwhelming generosity from staff to support ‘Give A Gift’ campaign

The staff from both Spalding Academy and Giles Academy joined together to support The Spalding & South Holland Voice ‘Give A Gift’ campaign, which helps to ensure less fortunate children aged between three and 14 years old to have a gift to open on Christmas Day.

To help identify the appropriate gift to donate, staff chose a tag denoting the child’s gender and age. As always, the staff from both schools were extremely generous with their support of the project.

Cllr Mark Le Sage of Ella’s Project (pictured below) came to collect the gifts on behalf of The Spalding & South Holland Voice where all gifts will go to South Holland and Boston Child Services to distribute in time for Christmas.

A special mention goes to Miss Fuller, Teacher of Science and PSHE Lead at Spalding Academy who helped co-ordinate the donations and ensured there was an bumper selection of presents for children to open on Christmas Day.

We were once again overwhelmed by the kindness and generosity of staff as there was an incredible selection of nearly 100 presents such as Lego, jigsaws, DVDs, toys, board games, arts & crafts, sports equipment, books and stationery.
