Coats For Kids

Coats for Kids

Spalding Academy are pleased to support “Coats for Kids”.  We have recently donated two bags full of coats to the charity in the hope that these can be passed on to young people that require a coat.

Coats for Kids was started on the 2nd of December by Rai Morgan and her friend after they read an article about how children in Grimsby were going to school without coats. Rai then asked a local school about it and was told that it is a significant problem.  Spalding Academy have also donated coats to students that we are aware were in need of a winter coat and are happy to support such a worthwhile initiative.

Attached is a picture of Deputy Head Teacher Brett Sinclair, Pastoral Manager Ian Billinghurst and Emma Steel the Lincolnshire Coordinator for “Coats for Kids” with students Tyriece, Justyna, Liliana, Ance, Sophie, Abdul, Zac and Hayden with the donation of coats from Spalding Academy.

There are three drop-off points for donations: LouLou’s Day Care at 75 Hillary Road, Maidstone; 14 Holmesdale Close, Loose, and 23 Marsham Street, Maidstone (opposite the community support centre.)
