Early Career Teachers graduate after completing their ECT Induction
We pride ourselves on running an exceptional ECT (Early Career Teacher) Programme in the schools across the Trust and are lucky to have 37 ECTs in our schools who are split between first and second years.
At the end of term, we had the opportunity to congratulate our ECT2 teachers who all successfully completed their two-year statutory induction periods. In recognition of this achievement, the ECT2s from across the Trust were invited to a graduation event at Spalding Academy where they also had the opportunity to reflect on their final training module and to collaborate with colleagues from other schools in the Trust.

Mrs Bland who leads the Trust ECT induction programme and SLAT Teaching School said “We had a wonderful event celebrating the successes of our ECT2 cohort. They have been incredibly dedicated to their induction and have invigorated the wider staff teams with their innovative ideas and excellent practice. We are very lucky to have such dynamic and engaging staff teaching in our schools and the event was an opportunity to recognise and celebrate the contribution of these individuals.”

The ECT programme at South Lincolnshire Academies Trust is one of the many high-quality training programmes available to staff within our Trust. One of the other opportunities to get into teaching in the local area is through our lead partnership with Lincolnshire ITT allowing us to provide Initial Teaching Training through placements at the Trust schools and other secondary schools across Lincolnshire and Peterborough.
