Effort and success recognised at the House Celebration Awards
This week, we hosted our first every Trust-wide House Celebration Evening, which was held at Springfields Events & Conference Centre in Spalding.
Students, parents and staff from Bourne Academy, Cowley Academy, Giles Academy and Spalding Academy all came together to this central location to celebrate all the wonderful things our students have achieved throughout the 2024/25 academic year.
In previous years, we held this event at the end of the academic year in July with separate events in each school, but we wanted to put on an extra special event to recognise and reward the efforts and achievements of our students. With over 300 people in attendance, we know that everyone appreciated the opportunity to celebrate together as the entire Trust community.
Hosted by Mr Cole and Mr McQueen (Trust House Leads), we were able to showcase and recognise the efforts and successes our of students across various categories includes the arts, sport, STEM, literacy, academic achievement, our fantastic Aspire scheme and contributions to the overall school community and House system.
The awards were then presented by the Heads of House from all of the four schools in the Trust plus Directors from subject areas who gave their more information about each of the awards and why they are important. In total, there were 88 students from Years 8 to 11 who received an award in front of their peers and parents/carers. We were also incredibly impressed with how smart our students were when they attended the event and collected their awards.
As well as the award presentations, the audience were treated to spectacular music performances from former and current Spalding Academy students (Amy Beeston, Francisco Paduraru-Daloga, Amelia Kalata, Emily Warren and Valeriia Orlova) who won a House Music Competition in June 2025 with the prize of performing at this prestigious event.
A special mention also goes to Mrs Curson (Deputy Chief Executive Officer) who opened the event and Mrs Conley (Chief Executive Officer) who closed the event with inspirational and motivational messages for our students.
After the success of this first ever House Awards Ceremony bringing students from all schools together, we are pleased to say that this event will take place at Springfields Events & Conference Centre again in September 2026.
Congratulations to all the following students who were awarded trophies and certificates:
