Medals galore for gymnasts at Schools Floor and Vault Competition
A group of our talented gymnasts achieved medals galore when they represented Spalding Academy and competed in the Lincolnshire Schools Floor & Vault competition at Priory Ruskin Academy in Grantham on Sunday 8th December 2024.
It was an early start for our students and staff, but they were eager to impress as they were confident in their abilities and how the school had performed in previous competitions.
For many of these students, this was their first ever gymnastics competition so they were a little nervous but also very excited to be competing! The nerves put them in good stead as all of the students were incredible and their hard work practicing paid off as they performed beautiful routines to be rewarded with medals for achieving top three placings.
Mollie Bennett and Oliwia Kuchta achieved first place in their categories and the Under 14 Mixed team (Mollie Bennett, Oliwia Kuchta, Liberty Moore, Zachariah Spies and Megan Farrar) achieved first place to be crowned Lincolnshire Champions!
It was a great day all around and a pleasure to see the students so happy with their routines and achievements. They represented the school exceptionally well.
Well done to all of the students and thank you to the parents to their continued support and ensuring everyone was ready for an early start on a Sunday morning.
