Sparkle & Bright non-uniform day for Mrs Conley’s retirement

After 35 years of working in education, Mrs Conley is retiring at the end of 2025. To commemorate this achievement and dedication, we are holding a special one-off non-uniform day on Wednesday 3rd December 2025 with the theme of ‘Sparkle & Bright’ to wear something bright, or that sparkles!

When Mrs Conley retires, she has requested that she does not want any leaving presents or fuss, but what would make her happier than anything is to raise money for charity. A national charity close to her heart is Young Minds, who do an incredible job in giving advice and support to young people affected by mental health.

Mrs Conley, Chief Executive Officer said “Having worked with young people in education for 35 years, my focus has always been to ensure every student has the best possible education and I am proud of everything we have achieved. I have truly loved working with young people and they have inspired me every single day. I wish every student a ‘bright’ future and for them to ‘sparkle’ in whatever they choose to do.”

To help support the event, we ask students who wear non-uniform to make a minimum charitable donation of £1.

As well as the non-uniform day – staff, parents/carers, current and former students can also donate to a Just Giving page (on the link below), to raise additional monies for Young Minds. As Mrs Conley has requested for no retirement gifts (not even one!) … please donate instead and help ensure no young person feels alone with their mental health.

We would like to thank Mrs Conley and everyone who donates in advance for their support with this worthwhile charity.
