Netball Team are crowned winners of Schools Netball League
Netball Team are crowned winners of the South Lincs Schools Netball League
On Monday this week the Year 8 Netball Team from Spalding Academy had their final match of season against Bourne Grammar School where they were crowned winners of the Year 8 South Lincs Schools Netball League.
They were feeling confident going in to the match as they were on an impressive winning streak and hadn’t lost a match all season.
Both teams started off incredibly well displaying excellent defending skills as the first quarter ended 0-0. Moving in to the second quarter the Spalding Academy team were making better passes and managed to go in to the third quarter leading 1-0. The girls had now started to find their pace and scored three more excellent goals to go into the final quarter with a 4-0 lead. They continued to work well as a team throughout the final quarter and won the match 5-1, which means they were winners of the league!
Emma Ringrose, PE Teacher at Spalding Academy said “I am incredibly proud I am of this team. They have been dedicated to training sessions and have worked incredibly well as a team throughout the netball season. Congratulations to all of you.”
