The continuous improvements made to every area at Spalding Academy has been recognised in the latest Ofsted report under the new framework.
On 1st and 2nd April 2025, Spalding Academy had a Section 8 inspection for Good schools and rather than a new set of judgements, the principal judgements that inspectors make during a Section 8 inspection are whether the school remains Good, and whether safeguarding is effective.
The glowing report has outlined that Spalding Academy remains a Good school and that safeguarding is effective.

Mrs Conley, Chief Executive Officer at South Lincolnshire Academies Trust said “I am delighted to say that the report is extremely positive and I feel it reflects the school very well, including outlining that Spalding Academy remains a Good school and that safeguarding is effective. There are many, many highlights in this report including comments about the commendable behaviour of our students, the positive and respectful relationships witnessed in the school and that since the last inspection we have continued to improve every area of the school.”

- Students behaviour is commendable. Lessons are calm and purposeful.

- Students feel safe in school and know that there are many staff they can talk to if they have any worries or concerns.
- Teachers have strong subject knowledge.
- Students have excellent attitudes to learning. They engage well with learning activities and show resilience when work is more demanding.
- Students study a broad and ambitious curriculum. In each subject, it is clear what students will learn and when.
- Students achieve exceptionally well.
- The school promotes reading effectively.
- Students receive high-quality career advice. They are exceptionally well prepared for their next steps.
- Staff are proud to work at Spalding Academy and are well supported with their wellbeing and workload.
- Everything the school does is underpinned by its values of ‘Aspire, Challenge, Achieve’.
