Year 10 Art student designs the official SLAT Christmas Card

To showcase the creative talents from the Art & Design departments, this year South Lincolnshire Academies Trust commissioned one of our Art & Design students with the task of designing an original Christmas Card.

This task was eagerly accepted by Kara Parker in Year 10 who is one of our talented art students that has produced exceptional artwork throughout her time at Spalding Academy. She has great talent for creating original designs in a variety of mediums and is a committed student, so she thoroughly deserved to be chosen to design this year’s SLAT Christmas Card.

We were really impressed with the techniques used to create this traditional design with a Christmas bell to announce the arrival of the festive season. It fitted the brief perfectly and the end result was very professional and would look at place in any card store.

Kara was presented with a canvas of her artwork by Mr Glenn Martin, Head of School and Mrs Emily Wilson, Partnership Lead and Head of Department for Art & Design.
