Wear a Christmas Item Day raises funds for Save the Children

Everyone was in the Christmas spirit on Thursday this week, when students and staff helped raise monies in aid of Save the Children by participating in a ‘Wear a Christmas Item Day’.

The classrooms were certainly brightened up with an array of Christmas Jumpers, Santa Hats, Rudolph Antlers, Festive Ties plus Christmas Socks amongst many other festive items. There were amazing jumpers on show with traditional patterns, festive sayings, characters such as The Grinch, budget supermarkets and those with glitter, sparkle and even flashing lights!

It was impressive to see all of the staff and students who made an effort by wearing Christmas items to show support and raise funds. Save the Children is a worthwhile charity who is dedicated to improving the lives of children around the world, ensuring they have the essentials they need to grow up healthy, educated, and safe.

The event was optional and everyone who participated donated £1 on the day. Across the Trust, we raised an impressive amount, making a significant impact on the lives of many children. The total raised from all activities raising money for Save the Children will be confirmed next week. Thank you to everyone for your support.
