Welcome from the new Head of School at Spalding Academy

Dear parents / carers,

It is my pleasure and privilege to be writing to you as the new Head of School at Spalding Academy. I am looking forward to meeting students, staff, parents / carers and governors over the next few weeks. A happy school community is key to any school’s success. I am a firm believer in ‘we are all in this together’, and transparent communication between school, parents / carers and students is so important.

I have been a school leader in the local area for over fifteen years. My own core leadership values align with the school’s ethos of ‘Aspire, Challenge and Achieve’. It will be my own personal aspiration, as a Head of School, to ensure our students challenge themselves academically and personally to achieve their full potential. Both academic and personal outcomes to me are just as important as each other. I will strive to prepare our students for the challenges and joys that come with a fulfilled and happy life, both here at Spalding Academy and beyond.

I look forward to working with the South Lincolnshire Academies Trust team and Mrs Lucy Conley, the Executive Headteacher, to continue our journey to outstanding at Spalding Academy. From my time visiting Spalding Academy, it is absolutely clear that the school has very high standards for student outcomes and behaviour. This is something we all should be proud of and strive to be even better!

I look forward to our journey ahead together, ensuring our students leave our care ready to take on the 21st century world.
